Mike Mendez’s debut film “Killers” on Uncut Blu-ray

Before making movies like Monastery, Gravedigger Dancers, Great Spider, Lavalantula AND Don’t kill itour buddy Mike Mendez made his debut with a feature film titled Assassins in 1997, which is currently headed to Blu-ray Unrated Director’s Cut Synapse Movies.

Synapse announces: “In 1997, director Mike Mendez and co-writer/star Dave Larsen collaborated on a brutal, uncompromising and incredibly funny film Assassins, a film that divided audiences at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival but then struggled to find an audience due to scattered distribution. Synapse Films, which has since gained a cult following, brings Assassins on Blu-ray in the full, unrated director’s cut October 8, 2024!

“Once Upon a Time Brothers James, Odessa (Dave Larsen) and Kyle (David Gunn), murdered their parents in their own beds. Now they have escaped from death row and run into the stormy night, looking for a place to hide. They attack the home of the Ryans, who look like a typical American family and should be easy to control. But something is wrong with this brood – the women seem more attracted to than scared of these notorious murderers in their home, and dad (CT Miller) has its secrets.

“Things rapidly spiral out of control when James’ boys discover that the evening isn’t going as they expected… and there are even more surprises waiting in the basement!”
