Kiambu – Ndenderu County Assemblyman (MCA) David Mwaura was admitted following a dispute between two groups over the principle of resource allocation.

Mwaura was rushed to Ruaka hospital after he was brutally beaten by thugs opposed to the one man, one vote and one shilling system of revenue sharing.

The MCA was expelled from a meeting organized to launch Kiambaa’s technical training before Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah could deliver his speech.

The majority leader was accompanied by some Kiambu leaders who opposed a formula described by others as tribalistic.

The MCA suffered head and rib injuries as the crowd cheered and attacked him over his divergent views, as 11 Kiambu MPs watched.

Mwaura revealed that he was knocked to the ground where rowdy youths allegedly trampled him.

“I was hit in the ribs and also in the head. “I was knocked to the ground, kicked in the legs and trampled on while I was lying down,” he said.
