NYPD officers are allegedly preventing package thefts on Staten Island’s south shore

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — New York police allegedly thwarted two people who tried to steal packages delivered to homes on Staten Island’s south shore.

Det. According to a post by the 123rd Precinct on X, formerly known as Twitter, Yasin and Officer Grisanti are credited with preventing would-be pirates from taking packages containing cellphones.

The post recommended that buyers always ask for signature confirmation for home deliveries.
