Daily news update: Axed MK founder alone in parliament | Election of the president of SA on Friday | Court ruling in the case of Ace’s former assistant

In today’s news, expelled uMkhonto WeSizwe (MK) party leader Jabulani Khumalo will continue to represent the party in its first parliamentary session, although party leaders have opted for a boycott, the National Assembly will elect the country’s president on Friday, and a court in the United States has ruled that former personal assistant Ace Magashule could be extradited to SA in connection with the R255-million corruption case.

Additionally, four suspects were killed in a shootout with police in KwaZulu-Natal, Ajay Gupta was denied bail in an Indian case involving a man who committed suicide and reality star Lethabo Lejoy has opened up about her complicated friendship with Christall Kay.

Jabulani Khumalo will represent the MK party in parliament despite his expulsion

Expelled uMkhonto WeSizwe (MK) party leader Jabulani Khumalo has confirmed that he will attend the first sitting of parliament to represent the MK party.
