Staff at the East Kilbride store even insisted they were a “summer essential”.

They said: “Stretchy and supportive, an absolute bargain.

“Summer essential crop tops for £3.

“These tops range from 2xs to XL, which is 4-20 in the UK.”

The crop top is only available in black and white on the website, if you’d like to check in-store availability.

But if you find them at your local store, pastel shades of yellow, orange, purple and blue are also available.

Primark bosses say: “A lightweight top for the summer months. Make our ribbed crop top a style you can wear again and again.

“With a vertically ribbed texture, an elastic cut around the hem and neckline for the most flattering fit, and thick straps, this top is both practical and pretty, making it perfect for pairing with midi skirts and high-waist shorts.

“It’s safe to say this top is definitely at the top of the style charts!”

If this has inspired you to head to Primark soon, fashion fans have been raving about many of the chain’s other products recently.

However, not everything in the store is currently being appreciated by shoppers, as some have shouted that once they spot the accessory, there is “no point in going back.”

Fashion fans say they feel “a thousand years old” when they notice the viral disc belt – often called the “most unflattering” accessory of the 1990s – return to the high street.

People also joked that they were suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after the shoe trend made an unwelcome comeback.

Why is Primark the place to go for bargains?

JUST how does Primark do it? Still providing fashionable products at such amazing prices? According to the bosses, it’s only four points.

  • “They sell a lot of items” – so they are able to save by buying in bulk to their 191 UK stores
  • “They do very little advertising.”
  • Although their clothes follow “the latest trends”, “they do not use expensive hangers, labels or labels”.
  • And finally, they strive to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores.” This includes, for example, asking suppliers to package our t-shirts so they are ready to go straight to the shelf.
