A cameraman shares the heartbreaking moment he discovered a body in the search for missing Michael Mosley

A cameraman who discovered a body while searching for missing TV doctor Michael Mosley has shared the moment he realized what he had found. Antonios, a local cameraman who came across the body this morning, broke down in tears during an interview with Sky News.

On Sunday, June 9, it was tragically confirmed that a body had been found as part of the ongoing search for the beloved TV doctor, who went missing on Wednesday along with his wife Clare on the Greek island of Symi. The body was found under a fence next to a bar near Agia Marina.

In an emotional episode on Sky News, Antonios revealed he used his iPhone to take a picture of his camera’s screen to allow him to zoom in. He said he then saw what appeared to be a man “lying.” with “hand on belly”.

He added: “The description accurately describes the man we were looking for.” Antonios also shared his sadness for Michael’s family, saying: “I’m really sorry for the family, I’m sorry that I was the one who found him. “I wish we had better news.”

Tributes have poured in for a TV doctor who regularly appeared on This Morning. TV chef Jamie Oliver wrote: “Rest in peace Michael Mosley… Absolutely devastating news of today’s sad loss of fellow TV presenter Micheal Mosley.

“What a wonderfully sweet, kind and gentle man he was. He has done so much good for public health with his television programs and research. He was an interesting researcher, producer and presenter and often changed the conversation on many public health issues all the better. “He will be sadly missed… love and thoughts to Claire and all his family.”

Piers Morgan, former Good Morning Britain star, said: “The body was found during the search for TV doctor Michael Mosley on the Greek island of Symi. A very sad development.”

Katie Price also shared a photo of Michael with the text “RIP” across the top in white text on her Instagram.
