In Microsoft’s latest presentation, the studio showed off new gameplay and then provided an in-depth analysis of all the mechanics that the game will feature. Fans are really looking forward to trying the game.

One of the features presented in this extended gameplay is very similar to the popular Baldur’s Gate 3. Obsidian’s game will include a mechanic called party camp, where players can talk and exchange dialogue with their group to improve relationships and get to know these characters deeply.

The studio also confirmed other features that will be part of Declared, such as the ability to switch to third-person view at any time, which was not clear in the revealed gameplay. The team behind the game admitted that they spent a lot of time perfecting the combat animations to make them more epic and provide a very fun experience for players. This adds to the weapon animations.

In the party camp, players can also improve their skills, manage their equipment and upgrade it for the next big adventure. The development team also revealed that there will be a respect system and that if players are not at a high enough level to defeat their enemies, it will be much more difficult to overcome these battles. There will be different ways to overcome obstacles, making the game more dynamic with all kinds of possibilities.

Obsidian also put considerable effort into interactions between party members, allowing them to argue with each other. The studio aims to release the game this year on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Game Pass.
