The Valorant Abyss map reveals the biggest clue regarding Agent 8’s disappearance

Riot isn’t commenting on Valorant’s next Agent, but it may have dropped a huge hint about Agent 8 in the latest Abyss map.

Abyss was recently released as Valorant’s 11th map. After a long time, Riot released a map that was completely unique from the others, introducing its own gimmick. With the death drop enabled and risky jumps, the Abyss is a complex but fun location. But it has a huge Easter egg that could be a clue for our next Valorant agent.

Area A of the Abyss is characterized by low boundaries that lead to a seemingly bottomless pit. However, from a safe distance near the cliffs, you can observe a large hourglass. This area also appeared in the official Abyss trailer.

It looks like an ordinary symbol, but it may be the cell where we keep our missing Agent 8 in Valorant.

For those unaware, Valorant Agent 8 has been missing since the beginning. No one knows where they are, but theorists believe they are crucial to the plot and story. Now Riot has fueled these theories in the latest teaser in the Abyss trailer.

A giant hourglass symbol appears in one shot, and the shot darkens as soon as the claw bends. It’s quite possible this is our Agent 8. Here’s why.

First of all, eight is a number that has been teased and mentioned numerous times in various Valorant skins, cards, and trailers. Players have also noticed “hourglass” clues throughout the game, which suggest that Agent 8 is meddling with time. The Memento Mori card issued in Episode 1, Act 2 had an hourglass hanging from its keychain that nodded to the dead.

Recently, Riot introduced a completely new organization to the Valorant story called the Hourglass Organization. This is the company where ISO and Omen previously worked.

Here’s where things get interesting. Omen has no memory of his time in the Hourglass organization, but is clearly seeking revenge in the Abyss trailer. If you look closely, the claw looks very similar to Omen’s hand.

ISO, on the other hand, was tasked with killing Omen by the Hourglass organization, but ended up joining the Valorant protocol in exchange for protection from his employer.

This suggests that this Hourglass organization is clearly extremely dangerous and is clearly holding someone captive on a map placed within their territory. It is obvious that there is some connection between Figure 8 and the Hourglass organization.

Everything indicates that the mysterious figure behind the symbol is our missing Agent 8. This agent has been missing for a long time, and Riot has avoided giving any clues. The fact that Riot chose this time to drop teasers for the Hourglass map means that the next character in Valorant could be Agent 8.
