The woman allegedly chased and threatened the man with a large knife

STROUD TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A woman has been charged after police say she chased a man and threatened him with a large-bladed knife.

On June 6, around 4:50 p.m., offices were called to the area of ​​Park Avenue in Stroud Township for a report of a woman with pink hair and a large knife who was chasing and threatening a 911 caller.

Officers responded to the scene when the victim reported that the woman was still chasing him, armed with a knife. Upon arrival, police said they found the suspect, later identified as 36-year-old Amber Miller, in the woods across the street from the Red Roof Inn.

Upon further investigation, officers learned the victim was located at the intersection of Lenox/Park Avenue and saw Miller walking with a man, holding a knife and arguing.

Miller then saw the victim looking at her and asked, “What are you looking at?” The victim then drove away from the scene, after which Miller threw a small knife at his car and began chasing him while holding a large knife in his hands, according to investigators.

The victim then stopped his car on the street and called 911 to report the incident. Miller then noticed the victim watching and ran towards him again, threatening him with a knife, police said.

Miller was arrested and charged with the following;

  • Possession of instruments of crime
  • A reckless threat
  • Disorderly conduct
  • Molestation

She was taken to the Monroe County Correctional Facility on $100,000 unsecured bail.
