Manchester United fans mock Barcelona after their offer

Manchester United fans recently mocked Barcelona after their bid for one of their star midfielders. New Barca head coach Hansi Flick is hoping to strengthen his squad and has identified Kobbie Mainoo as a transfer target.

In a recent report, El Nacional claimed that the Catalan club had offered £8.5 million plus Raphinha in an audacious swap deal for Mainoo.

However, the proposed deal did not go down well with Man United fans as they took to social media to make their feelings heard.

One Twitter user wrote: “Barcelona can only buy it on FIFA. »

A second fan argued: “They rate Raphinha at 70m, so that’s 78.5m, which isn’t even that bad.”

A third supporter said: “This is the kind of offer you’ll laugh at. »

A fourth fan joked: “Haha Breaklona, what are they thinking? »

Another commented: “Luckily John Murtough left because he probably would have accepted this. »

Mainoo has had an excellent campaign at Old Trafford as he managed to establish himself as a regular member of the Man United first team. The English talent made 35 appearances for the Red Devils last season, scoring five goals and registering three assists in all competitions.

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a meteoric rise at the Theater of Dreams and is currently one of the best young midfielders in the Premier League. His current contract at Manchester United will expire in the summer of 2027, so there is no immediate need for the Manchester giants to cash in on the English midfield ace this summer.

As for Raphinha, the Brazilian winger managed to find the net ten times and notch 13 assists in 37 matches for Barcelona last season on all fronts. On his day, the South American sensation can still be a world-class player. Additionally, he knows the Premier League well from his time at Leeds United.

It remains to be seen whether the two clubs can strike a blockbuster swap deal involving Mainoo and Raphinha this summer.
